Hull FC have confirmed the loan signing of Tiaki Chan from Wigan Warriors, as reported by Hull Live on Tuesday. The 23-year-old has joined the club on a short-term agreement, understood to be an initial two weeks.

Chan joined Wigan from Catalans Dragons in the off-season. He is Australian-born but is a French international and will slot straight into Hull's 21-man-squad for Sunday's trip to London Broncos.

Chan can play at either prop or in the back row, with the latter a likely option. He has made 62 senior appearances in his career to date, having represented Saint-Estève XIII, Catalans Dragons, and Toulouse Olympique.

Hull FC’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, said: "We’re thankful to Wigan for allowing Tiaki to join us in a position that we’re currently light in. Tiaki has a real desire to compete at the highest level and we’re pleased to have him within our group. I’m excited to see what he can bring to us over the coming weeks."

Chan is Hull's fourth loan signing of the year following spells for Ed Chamberlain, Joe Bullock, and Matty Russell. Chamberlain was recalled by parent club Leigh Leopards earlier this week, whereas Bullock and Russell came from Warrington back in March.
