Ricky Hatton and Claire Sweeney enjoy 'loved up' first holiday in sweet snaps

Ricky Hatton and Claire Sweeney looked loved-up in new snaps taken on their first holiday together in Tenerife.

The former boxing star, 45, and the Coronation Street actress, 53, jetted off to the Spanish location for their first sun-soaked trip. It comes as they went public with their romance earlier this year, after first meeting on Dancing On Ice.

The ITV soap star and boxing legend were both paired with professional dancers on the latest series, however quickly were reported to have struck up a chemistry. They shared a snippet of their stunning beach trip on their Instagram pages.

Claire and Ricky were seen enjoying an evening at the El Mirador Restaurant for one of their planned dates, the Mirror reports. Claire looked stunning in a pink and yellow low-cut summer dress with frill detailing as she beamed for the camera.

Ricky, who was dressed in a casual black t-shirt, leaned his head into Claire as he smiled for the camera and she done the same. The couple were also snapped watching the Manchester City game with pals at a bar called The Beach Cabin.

Fans were quick to rush to the social media post, as they gushed over the new couple. One person wrote: "You and Claire are the best match ever," as someone else quipped: "Oh I just adore Claire Sweeney, aww cute couple." While a third noted: "This is nice. As long as the two of you are happy."

There was rumours swirling of a romance in the air between the two earlier this year, however they never officially confirmed the romance until recently. Ricky and Claire made an iconic debut on the red carpet together, marking their public debut as a couple.

Both Claire and Ricky looked smitten in the photographs as they beamed for the cameras at Co-op Live in Manchester last month.

Claire uploaded affectionate selfies of her and Ricky at the event and added the caption: "Great night watching @officialrickastley @coopuk new arena with @rickymanhatton," paired with a red heart icon.

Ricky echoed these sentiments, stating he'd enjoyed a "great night" alongside Claire, with snippets of their fun evening out. The boxing professional is reportedly 'besotted' with his new partner, and the affection appears to be mutual, an insider claims.

A source told MailOnline previously: "Claire and Ricky have become really close. She wasn't looking for a relationship but then Ricky came along and it just felt right and natural and she's really happy. She signed up for a reality TV show and met a great guy so it feels a bit like winning the lottery and she's really counting her blessings as it all came from nowhere and often that's the best way.

"She's now really looking forward to introducing Ricky to her family and friends soon and they are really looking forward to the guy who has put a smile on Claire's face."

Ricky, who has a son, has previously been linked to Playboy models Carla Howe and Chelsea Claire. His longest relationship was with ex-fiancee Jennifer Dooley, who he was with from 2005 to 2016, however things ended over his drinking habits after he was pictured with other women on nights out.

Soap star Claire was in a relationship with Tony Hibbard from 2001 to 2007 and her last ­relationship was with Daniel Reilly, the father of her son Jaxon, eight. They broke up in 2017, with Claire later giving an insight into what she looks for in a guy.

Recently, the boxing champ paid tribute to his girlfriend on her birthday with a sweet message. He wrote: "Happy Birthday Claire. Have the best day gorgeous" to which she replied: "Lots of love. Ricky. xxx"
