Rio Brazilian Steakhouse Middlesbrough could add unlimited parmo to menu - have your say

Did someone say unlimited parmo? Yes, you heard that correctly.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse, in Middlesbrough, has teased fans with the idea of introducing the Teesside delicacy to its unlimited meat selection - but only at its Albert Road venue.

The popular restaurant is known for its specially trained Gaucho chefs who bring around a selection of steaks, and other meat cuts, that are continuously carved at the table in a traditional Rodizio style. But if Rio’s proposal comes to light, customers can enjoy unlimited meat and parmos during their dining experience.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse - Middlesbrough asked the question on its Facebook page on Tuesday. A spokesperson said: “UNLIMITED PARMO. Now that we've got your attention we need your help!

“As a Teesside favourite we've had the idea of introducing parmos to our unlimited meat selection only at Middlesbrough. We want to know if you think we should do it? Let us know in the comments.”

The post was met with over 200 reactions, with the majority replying “yes”. One person said: “Yes defo UTB”, while another added: “And just when I thought it couldn't get any better!”

One woman wrote: “We attended a tomahawk wedding recently and the parmo bites were absolutely amazing!! They went so quick.”

However, not everyone was a fan of the idea. “No. It’s great to have a great restaurant parmo free!,” another said. Whilst another pointed out: “No - if people want a parmo there is every single other place in the area, I know they are popular but that isn’t the experience you are paying for in you wonderful restaurants.” You can have your say on the idea on Rio's Facebook page here.

The eatery, which opened in December 2020, taking over the former Bistrot Pierre, is ranked as the best restaurant in Middlesbrough according to TripAdvisor. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled to see if parmo lands on the Rio Brazilian Steakhouse Middlesbrough menu.
