Rival Factions Blame Each Other for Continued Skirmishes in Khartoum Area

The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) posted video showing abandoned Rapid Support Forces (RSF) vehicles and uniforms in Khartoum North on May 4, as fighting continued despite the agreement of a seven-day ceasefire.

The SAF said they were attacked by the RSF in the Bahri area, also known as Khartoum North. “The enemy received a decisive punishment and its forces dispersed between dead, wounded and fugitives,” they said.

A number of combat vehicles were destroyed and five were abandoned by the RSF, the SAF said.

In a statement on the same day, the RSF said they had been attacked.

In this footage, an SAF soldier can be seen on Al-Inqaz Street, in the Kobar area of Khartoum North. Uniforms akin to those of the RSF are seen piled in the middle of the road, and a number of pickup trucks with flat tires and bullet holes can be seen on the street.
