River Surges in San Luis Obispo After Atmospheric River Storm

River water surged after heavy rain in San Luis Obispo, California, on Monday, January 9, as an intense storm hit the region.

Almost all of California saw rainfall totals of between 400 and 600 percent above average values “over the past several weeks”, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) early Tuesday.
