Roadways in South Carolina Flooded After Nearly 6 Inches of Rain Falls Overnight

Heavy rainfall caused major roadways to flood in Sumter, South Carolina, on Monday, March 27.

Sumter received almost 6 inches of rain overnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The Sumter Police Department asked drivers to use “extra caution” as some roads were still underwater midday Monday.
