All the roadworks and closures in Hull next week including A63 and Holderness Road
Drivers in Hull may experience delays over the coming days as numerous roadworks have been scheduled.
It is advised to allowed extra time for journeys if they are affected by the mixture of road closures, lane closures and two-way traffic signals in place while the work is going on. Drypool Bridge is still out of use for the foreseeable future and there are also works scheduled on busy routes such as Holderness Road and Perth Street West.
Works around the city are taking place for various reasons, such as the installation of telecoms poles, maintaining gas mains, and upgrading the sewer network. All of these works are subject to change depending on factors such as the weather.

Next round of A63 road closures begin as drivers urged to plan ahead
Some routes have marked diversions and roadworks will be undertaken outside of rush hours where possible. Here is the roundup of roadworks over the next few weeks...
A63 improvement scheme – St James Street to Market Place. Roadworks started May 2020 and are due to finish May 2025. The major A63 Improvement scheme entails full infrastructure change and lane and road closures until the completion of scheme by National Highways.
A63 improvement scheme – Commercial Road. This stage of the work started October 2021 and is due for completion by April 30, 2024. Road closures are in place to enable a safe systems of works for operatives working on the National Highways scheme.
A63 – Queen Street. From March 11 to May 10, 2024, there will be a full closure on Queen Street as part of the Castle Street improvement scheme. Traffic has no access to the A63 westbound and a full diversion route is in place. These works are also organised by National Highways.
Barnes Way – from April 15 to April 28, 2024, there are multi-way signals at the junction of Connaught Road while the Gas Transportation Company fits utility connections to a newly built housing development.
Coventry Road – from March 4 to May 17, 2024, there will be a road closure in place while Yorkshire Water installs a new pipe, manhole and connecting onto the existing combined sewer network. This is part of the Living with Water Aqua Green Scheme.
Drypool Bridge – estimated works until April 2025. An emergency closure is place due to a problem with the supports. There is potential disruption for seven to 12 months and a signed diversion routes in place. Hull City Council's Bridges Team is responsible.
Holderness Road – from April 12 to April 22, 2024, there is a lane closure at the junction with Oak Croft as MS3 install telecommunications systems.
Manor Road – from February 5 to April 26, 2024, there is a road closure while Yorkshire Water installs a new pipe and manhole and connected them to the combined sewer network outside number 82 and 84. This is part of the Living with Water Aqua Green Scheme.
Moorhouse Road – from March 11 to June 14, there is a road closure in place while Yorkshire water installing a new pipe and manhole on the carriageway as part of the Living with Water Aqua Green Scheme.
National Avenue – from April 29 to May 17, multi-way signals are in place as Northern Gas Networks replace a gas main at the junction of Harpings Road.
Perth Street West – from April 22 to May 10, 2024, there is a road closure at the Network Rail Bridge as Northern Gas Networks replace a gas main
Sutton Road – From April 20p to May 1, 2024, there will be two-way signals in place as Northern Powergrid install new mains at Ennerdale Bridge and A1033 roundabout. The two-way signals will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm only.
Spring Bank – Due to have finished by April 19. A lane closure was in place while Northern Powergrid upgraded cables at the junction of Norwood Street.
