Robbie Williams is really keen for Jason Orange to take part in any further reunions with Take That.

Jason walked way from the 'Never Forget' group in the autumn of 2014, leaving Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen to carry on as a three-piece for their appropriately-titled record III.

Earlier this year, the remaining members of Take That admitted they no longer had much contact with Jason - seemingly squashing any hope of the full five-piece reuniting for their 30th anniversary in 2020.

But fellow former member Robbie Williams hasn't given up hope! In an interview with The Sun, Robbie said he remains hopeful that Jason can be talked round to returning to Take That at some point.

"I never have an in-depth conversation with him about the whys and wherefores of," he admitted. "I never totally understand why he doesn't want to do it. I kind of get it. But I never have a conversation with him about him coming back either.

"I'd like the five of us to ride again, obviously. It's down to J."

However, Robbie also made it clear that Jason's involvement isn't the lynchpin to whether he'd ever reunite with his old pals Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen in the future.

"It's a big commitment to re-join the band, go and promo the album for months then go on tour - it's a whole 18 months out of my life," he added. "Last time was the perfect storm in the best way.

"We had this critically acclaimed album, did the biggest tour the UK has ever seen and it was an amazing period in all of our lives.

"I'd like to repeat some of that. I enjoy working with them. I enjoy hiding in public. I enjoy the camaraderie and I enjoy writing songs with them too so why not?"

The question remains as to when exactly this fabled reunion will happen. After saying earlier this week that there was no Take That reunion on the cards for the next five years, Robbie quickly backtracked.

"I did an interview the other day and it's been picked up in the news," he admitted days later on Lorraine. "I said, 'Oh yeah we're not going to get together, it's definitely not happening in the next five years.'

"But then I remembered, 'Oh actually, we had a meeting about something but I can't say [what about].' So [the reunion] might be sooner than that."
