She explained that Robbie's comments were linked to a tongue in cheek remark she'd made during a prior podcast: "I think it was in reference to a podcast I had done where we're just joking. It was like a mom podcast. I was just kind of joking."

Following this jocular remark grabbing media attention, Robbie was sought for a response, to which he opted to "go even further into detail", causing mixed reactions in the process. With the discussion being addressed on Thursday's Loose Women episode, Ayda clarified to a curious Denise Welch: "listen, we do have sex. It does happen."

Ayda also opened up about the strength of her relationship with Robbie, saying: "I always say that our intimacy is way higher than it was before. He says I love you 20 times a day and we call each other as well. I love it. Before we came on just now, he just said 'I love you so much'."

She acknowledged the deep connection she shares with Robbie, describing them as "connected to the core" and reinforcing their status as one of the entertainment world's most enduring couples, reports the Mirror.

Speaking candidly while filming for Robbie's Netflix documentary, Ayda reiterated her feelings about their marriage, countering Robbie's previous comments about their private life: "We are always cuddling and kissing, holding hands, and touching each other when we are just watching TV on the sofa, or a movie, or whatever."

Despite the romance largely being plain sailing in recent years, Ayda has been an unwavering support for Robbie through his most challenging times, having experienced her own share of sorrow since they first got together in 2006.

Their journey began with a chilly and unsettling first date, but as time passed, they both realised they were destined for each other. However, with Robbie battling his addictions at the time, he faced a tough decision.

In his latest documentary, Robbie revealed that he struggled to maintain sobriety while in a relationship with Ayda. This led him to end their relationship temporarily for another stint in rehab.

After his recovery, the couple reconciled and got married on August 7, 2010, at his Beverly Hills home. They are now parents to four children: daughters Theodora and Colette, and sons Charlton and Beau.
