Rochelle Humes says 'I'm admitting defeat' after waving off daughters for sweet trip without her

Rochelle Humes told fans she was 'admitting defeat' as she tried to enjoy a slower day before starting a shoot for an undisclosed project. The This Morning star recently said she and her husband Marvin are 'winging it' after their children's summer off of school already kicked off.

Speaking to HELLO! about their summer plans, Rochelle said: "I'm planning to wing it through until September and we can open the school gates again. Our kids seem to have longer than they've ever had before!"

She added: "We might do a couple of weeks somewhere. We have a couple of staycays planned. We have a couple's trip planned but we have staycays and everyone escapes the UK when it's the best it's going to be! They have such a long break that I want to get around the UK a bit. We have an appreciation since COVID. We're going to do a bit of camping, not quite like the jungle but similar sort of vibes."

But before then, Rochelle, 35, and Marvin, 39, are juggling various work projects and on Wednesday (July 10), the former took to Instagram to reveal she was in the hair and makeup chair and teased on her Story: "The start of a fun 3 days..."

However, it comes after the mum-of-three said she was having to listen to her body ahead of her busy three days. Sharing a picture of her laptop alongside a warming cup of matcha from the brand she co-founded, Cloudcha, she wrote to her millions of followers: "Listening to my body today and having a 'work from home' day..."

She added: "I've got such a busy week and I think everything has caught up with me... It does happen often but I'm admitting defeat..." alongside a crying laughing emoji.

It comes after Rochelle waved off her two daughters - Alaia-Mai and Valentina - as they headed on an annual trip with her mum. Alongside a picture of their packed cases in the boot of the car with a soft toy alongside them, the former singer said: "Our girls are off on their annual trip with my Mum... Super Nanny has planned a trip to the caravan.."

It comes after Rochelle was left with few words after she shared the note she received from her daughter in which she recognised how hard she'd been working and wanted to give her a little treat. However, it did come with an apology from Alaia-Mai to her doting dad, Marvin.

Fans will know that Rochelle and Marvin, who tied the knot in 2012, several years after JLS star Marvin took former The Saturdays singer Rochelle's phone from her bag while in a club to get her number, share three children together - Alaia, 11, Valentina, seven, and three-year-old Blake.

And the pair would probably say the juggle is very real when it comes to balancing their family life with their busy work ones, with Rochelle working on the likes of This Morning and running multiple businesses, while Marvin remains part of boyband JLS while also DJing with his own show on Kiss FM.

But their working efforts haven't gone unnoticed and last week, Rochelle shared a picture of a note she had been left by Alaia alongside some of her mum's favourite chocolate.

The mum-of-three simply shared a broken heart emoji to her Instagram Story alongside the snap of the hand-written note which read: "Dear mummy, I got you your favourite chocolate because I know you've been working really hard recently. I just wanted you to know I love you so much. Love Alaia."

The youngster then continued: "P.S. I feel really bad I didn't get daddy anything even though he has worked so hard with JLS rehearsals and DJinh and KISS. I love you borh so much. Don't worry daddy, I didn't roget you. Your gift is tomorrow. Love you, love Alaia."
