Rod Stewart bought Penny Lancaster a narrowboat for her 50th birthday
Penny Lancaster has revealed husband Rod Stewart bought her an old narrowboat for her birthday after she decided she wanted a new hobby.
The TV personality, who turned 50 back in March, appeared on Thursday's Loose Women via video link where she spoke about how she celebrated the special day to panellists Charlene White, Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha.
"I was able to have a Zoom party and all my girlfriends secretly did their own video to one of Rod’s songs, that they played to me on the night of my birthday and we had a drink and I had so many cards and flowers, it was just wonderful," she explained.

Back in the studio, Moore pressed Lancaster on what her famous spouse had given her as gift.
Lancaster replied: "Well, in the first lockdown I realised I quite enjoyed it, I enjoyed slowing down and a more simple life.
"The second lockdown was a bit tougher, and I thought, 'I need to think of something, a hobby, where I can really slow down', and there is a lovely river near us that snakes its way down to London.
"And there are lovely little narrowboats, and I thought my dream would be to get an old narrowboat and do it up, so that's what Rod got me."
The revelation prompted Sawalha to start singing Stewart's hit "Sailing".
Lancaster is the 76-year-old rocker's third wife following his marriages to Alana Stewart and Rachel Hunter.
