Rod Stewart, 77, shows off fitness ahead of tour despite multiple surgery
Sir Rod Stewart has demonstrated his physical fitness following multiple surgery - as he prepares to begin a world tour in May.
The 77-year-old rocker - who has undergone operations on his knee and ankle in recent years - kicks of his tour with a Las Vegas residency next month.
Sir Rod shared a video of himself running on Instagram captioned: "After a knee replacement and ankle fusion surgery, at 77 I'm back to top fitness in preparation for my long awaited tour dates - and maybe a call up Scotland!!!

"Full speed ahead bring on the tour!!!"
The Celtic football fan ended the video saying: "Level 5, 15m bleep test, not bad for 77," before flexing his biceps to camera.
The Da Ya Think I'm Sexy singer underwent knee replacement surgery in 2020 to treat an injury he blamed on years of playing football on dry pitches in the US.
This was followed by an £8,000 surgical procedure to fuse his ankle.
Sir Rod is due to begin a 10 date Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace in May, the same venue where Adele cancelled her own show at at the last minute.
He will then tour Canada and the US over the summer before returning to Las Vegas in September and then bringing the tour to the UK in November.
In 2018 Sir Rod began a feud with Sir Elton John over comments the Maggie May singer made about Sir Elton embarking on a three-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Sir Rod said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: “If I retire, I won’t make an announcement. I’ll just fade away. I don’t think this is a big deal, it stinks of selling tickets...
“It’s dishonest. It’s not rock and roll.”
But Sir Rod last year told The Harry Redknapp Show podcast that they’ve buried the hatchet after their longest-running fall out.
He said: “I say to my kids, ‘A man apologises, go and apologise to your mother’. We’ve just made up as friends again, me and Elton.

“We’ve always been fierce enemies, as you know, through the years, but it’s always been at a playful level.
“But we had the worst row, like a married couple. It went on forever.”
