Rohingya Refugees Brave Heavy Rainfall and Strong Winds as Cyclone Remal Hits Bangladesh

Heavy rain and strong winds battered the Rohingya refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, as Cyclone Remal swept through the area, footage published on May 27 shows.

At least two people were killed in low-lying areas of the country, local media said.

The Daily Star reported that 30,000 homes were destroyed by the storm.

The storm made landfall between Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal on Sunday evening, the Times of India reported.
