Ronan Keating reveals he has had vasectomy after birth of fifth child

Ronan Keating has revealed that he has chosen to have a vasectomy following the birth of his fifth child last year.

The 44-year-old singer had previously spoken about his intention to have the procedure, but revealed on this week's episode of Celebrity Juice — reported via Daily Mail — that he had gone ahead with it.

"Last time you were on Celebrity Juice, we broke the news that you'd been considering the snip. Can you confirm or not confirm that you've had it?," host Keith Lemon asked.

Keating replied: "Well, I've had it, I've had it. I've had the snip! Freedom! Freedom!"

Keating spoke about his intention to get the snip during an appearance on Good Morning Britain last year, noting that his wife Storm was the one who introduced the topic.

He said: "It's a funny conversation because I was going about my day and Storm said: 'I think it's probably about time you got the snip now' and I was like what?

"Storm said 'it's time' and I said: 'Hmm I guess it is, yeah sure'."

Keating and Storm have two children together — four-year-old son Cooper and one-year-old daughter Coco — while Keating has three other children with his previous wife Yvonne Connolly.

Keating and Storm met in 2011 when he was a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor, where she was working on the production side of the show.

They married in 2015 and have since welcomed their two children.

Keating rose to fame as part of Boyzone in the 1990s, joining the group as its youngest member.

He embarked on a solo career at the end of the decade, releasing hit tracks including Life is a Rollercoaster and his cover of When You Say Nothing At All, which appeared in the film Notting Hill.
