Roof Collapses in Main Street After Strong Gusts Hit State

A roof collapsed in one of Wollongong’s main city streets on August 18, following extreme windy weather which hit New South Wales.

The New South Wales Bureau of Meteorology reported that winds were recorded between 60-70km/h and over 90km/h on August 18 across the south-easterly and central eastern parts of the state.
