Rose McGowan Lashes Out At Caitlyn Jenner For ‘Insensitive’ Joke About Women

Just days after Caitlyn Jenner was confronted by angry members of the trans* community at a protest, Rose McGowan has royally lashed out at the former Olympian for a joke that she made at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards last week.

During her acceptance speech at the swanky New York do, the ‘I Am Cait’ star quipped that the hardest thing about being a woman is having to decide what to wear each day, which has left 42-year-old Rose fuming.

The actress took to her Facebook account to call out Caitlyn for her insensitive comment, writing: “Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight.

“Not by a long f*cking shot. Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us - well learn us.

“We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you.

The 42-year-old then posted a series of upsetting memes that showed women being abused, alongside several of Caitlyn’s quotes, however, these have since been deleted.

Despite Rose’s disdain at the 65-year-old’s speech as she collected the Transgender Champion award, many praised Caitlyn for what she said.

After accepting the prize, the star said: “I’m so blessed I have family. Not one has abandoned me they’ve been supportive of me, it’s been great … I sat each one of them down and said to them this is my story this is who I am - what can I do.

“I sat down with my pastor, talked to him, about my issues. And yes, I had a lot of conversations with God. And I came to the conclusion that you know what, maybe this is why God put me on this earth.

“To tell my story. To be authentic to myself about who I am and in doing that, maybe you can make a difference in the world. What a great opportunity in life to have. So few of us ever get that opportunity.”
