Ross Mathews Dishes on Whether He's a Power Bottom in Resurfaced Clip

An old clip of Drag Race’s hilarious Ross Mathews talking about his preferred sexual position has fans worked up into a frenzy after making the rounds again this week.

@amaterialboy shared the video on Sunday night, writing simply, “THIS IS INSANE.”

The clip in question features Mathews chatting it up with Howard Stern on the latter’s SiriusXM show.

“I see you as a power bottom,” Stern says, prompting Mathews to explode into a giggle fit. “Am I right?”

Mathews denies the suggestion, but says it’s his high-pitched voice that always makes people assume that about him.

“So are you a top?” co-host Robin Quivers asks from offscreen.

With a little bid of hedging, Mathews ultimately replies, “Yeah,” before clarifying, “I don’t like, ‘Give it!’ I’m not like, ‘Oh, come here, I gotta give to ya.’”

Watching the way the conversation plays out is even more amusing than the content itself, and fans of the TV host were thrilled to see the vid making the rounds again.

At the same time, the fact that Stern brought this up in the first place — and seemed so surprised at Mathews’ answer — does speak to both the weird fetish straight people have when it comes to prying into LGBTQ folks’ sex lives as well as an over-reliance on stereotypes.

Still, Mathews handled it well, and now we’ve got this hilarious clip making the rounds every so often, so we’ll appreciate it for what it is!
