Rossendale and Darwen general election 2024 results in full

Voters in Rossendale and Darwen have gone to the ballot box for the general election 2024.

A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the Lancashire constituency which includes the Blackburn with Darwen wards of Blackburn South and Lower Darwen; Darwen East; Darwen South; Darwen West; and West Pennine and the Rossendale wards of Cribden; Eden; Facit and Shawforth; Goodshaw; Greensclough; Hareholme; Healey and Whitworth; Helmshore; Irwell; Longholme; Stacksteads and Whitewell.

Ahead of the election, the MP was Conservative Jake Berry who has represented the area since 2010.

The shock summer general election was called by Rishi Sunak on May 22, with elections taking place in all 650 seats across the UK. Since the 2019 general election major boundary changes affecting 90% of Parliamentary constituencies have come into force.

Ahead of the election, a Conservative government had been in power in Parliament since 2010.

Polls closed in the general election 2024 at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
