Beryl Camm nee Sagar

Beryl Camm nee Sagar, of Rawtenstall suddenly, but peacefully, passed away with her loving family around her in hospital on Sunday, May 26, aged 86 years.

An adored wife of Jim. A treasured mum of Gareth and the late Jacqueline.

Much loved mother-in-law of Mark and Bernie.

Cherished Grandma of Matthew, Katie, James and Elizabeth.

Devoted sister to Harry and John.

Beryl will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Beryl’s funeral will take place, Tuesday, June 11 at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm.

Mrs Winifred Swallow

Winifred Swallow passed away on Saturday, May 25, aged 98 years.

Widow of the late Joe, and then partner of the late Alva, she leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Winifred was born in Water and lived there for many years. She was a member of Lumb Baptist Church and was a member of the Ladies Circle for many years.

Winnie worked at JH Hursts for 40 years and in her spare time loved dancing and walking, holidays, visiting gardens, reading and doing word searches, and enjoyed meals out.

Steven Goodenough

On May 8, Steven died unexpectedly in hospital. Beloved partner and grandad who is sadly missed by all the family.

The funeral will be at Burnley Crematorium on Monday, June 10 at 12.15pm

Barbara Waters

Barbara Waters, of Victoria Street, Cloughfold, Rawtenstall, passed away at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital on May 20, aged 74 years.

After leaving school Barbara worked at Mullards, she then had her family and stayed at home to bring them up.

In 1984, Barbara started work at Rossendale General Hospital until its closure where she then transferred to Thorn Lea.

Barbara then left there and started work at Hazelwood Homecare as a community carer until she retired in 2018.

Barbara’s main interests was her family, her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed going out socialising and dancing.

Barbara leaves her three children Jason, Beverley and Shelley and their partners Elly, Steven and Danny.

She leaves her grandchildren Joshua, Mollie, Declan, Joseph, Dylan and Hannah and her great-grandchildren Isla Mai, Declan, Ayda Mai, Eden, Francesca and Jessica.

Barbara also leaves her good lifelong friend Alan Thompson, nieces, nephews, extended family and many great friends.

A service will take place on Monday, June 10 at Longholme Methodist Church, Rossendale, at 1.15pm, conducted Rev David Burrow this will be followed by committal at Burnley Crematorium at 2.30pm, then a celebration of life will take place at Haslingden Bowling Club.

Stephen Dowsing

Stephen Dowsing, of Melbourne Street, Darwen, passed away at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital on May 26, aged 79 years.

Stephen was a technical engineer.

Husband to the late Christine Dowsing, father to sons Ashley and Simon Dowsing, grandfather to Parker Dowsing and Courtney Dowsing.

A funeral will take place on Friday, June 14 at Burnley Crematorium at 10am, conducted by Kathy Unsworth.

All friends and family of Stephen Dowsing are welcome at The Red Lion, Newchurch Road, Higher Cloughfold after the service.

John Richard Dickinson

John Richard Dickinson of Haslingden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, age 65 years.

The beloved husband of Debra. Father to son Jonathan and daughter Stephanie. Brother to Jennifer and a cherished grandad to Noah, Alfie and George.

A well known business man who found joy in helping the community.

He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

His funeral service will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Monday, June 17 at 11am.

Glenn William Miller

Glenn William Miller, of Andrew Avenue, Rawtenstall, passed away at home on May 29, aged 70 years.

Glenn had previously worked as a crime scene investigator (Preston) before he retired.

Glenn leaves behind his wife Olwen, children Bethany, Leah and Joseph.

Grandchildren Rory, Polly, Thomas, James and Henry.

A service will be held on Friday, June 14 at St James the Less, Rawtenstall at 11am conducted by Fr Stamp.
