Priscilla Pickup
Priscilla Pickup, of Blackburn Road, Haslingden died on April 12 at Blackburn Royal Hospital, aged 74.
Loving wife of Gary Frank Pickup and much loved mum to Darren and Colin.
She was also a loving sister to Catherine and David.
Priscilla worked at Haslingden Swimming Pool for 35 years, and she loved to spend her spare time in her garden.
Her funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, May 2 at 11am.

Bill Mason
Bill Mason of Hurst Crescent Rawtenstall passed away at home on April 11, aged 91 years.
Bill previously worked at Blackburn Evening Telegraph as a compositor.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved to travel with Rona and friends especially Australia visiting family.
Bill loved Christmas parties at the Mason House especially so all the family could try his cocktail concoctions, he drank them himself if they didn’t go down too well.
Husband of the late Rona, Bill leaves son Peter, son Martin and daughter Jane. Daughter-in-laws Adrienne, Sue and son-in-law Tony.
Grandchildren Tom, Louis, Luke, Libby, Billy and Betsy, great-grandchildren Sophia and Isobel.
A small service will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at James St Chapel of Rest at 11.30am followed by service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm.

Ita Priestley
Ita Priestley, of Mercer Crescent, Helmshore, passed away on April 11 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 65 years.
Ita was a nurse (retired) at Burnley General Hospital, formerly Rossendale Hospital.
Ita enjoyed gardening, her allotment, jigsaws, volunteering for Rossendale Hospice and talking newspapers.
Wife to Mick and mother to sons Christopher and James.
A service will be held on Friday, May 3 at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by Neil Overton.
No flowers, donations to Rossendale Hospice.
Ita will be missed by her son Christopher and his wife Kirsty, her son James and his wife Sarah, her grandchildren and her siblings Ursula, Teresa, Mel, Nicholas and Richard and husband Mick.

Ruth Turner
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Ruth Turner passed away peacefully, aged 94 years at Wellfield Home for the Elderly on Thursday, April 11, with family by her side.
Dearly loved wife of the late William (Bill) Turner, devoted mother of Lois, mother-in-law to Vincent, treasured sister of Olive, Glenys and the late Norman (Norrie), sister-in-law of Cathy, the late Alma and the late Harry.
Ruth was also a dear aunt, relative and friend to many.
The eldest child of Richard and Isabella Grimshaw, Ruth was born and raised in Haslingden.
Her early working life was spent in various local mills before later becoming a ledger clerk at the General Municipal Workers Union office in Accrington, from where she retired. Following her marriage to Bill in 1952, they lived in Haslingden before later moving to live in Baxenden, then Accrington.
Formerly of Bamford Crescent, Ruth was known as being a sociable, fun and witty lady, who was always nicely and smartly dressed.
Previously she enjoyed travel, reading, films, dress-making, and being a member of Rossendale Ladies Choir.
Ruth was very proud and supportive of Bill as a local historian and author.
Following his death in 2007, she greatly appreciated the work done by the late Walter Holmes, and others, to continue Bill’s work on ‘The Accrington Pals.’ Ruth also represented Bill on a number of projects which promoted The Pals’ story.
The family wish to thank the staff, and residents of Wellfield Home for the Elderly for the care, affection and friendship shown to Ruth.
The funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, May 1 at 1pm. Family and friends are invited to join together and wear bright colours to celebrate Ruth’s life.

Alice Law
Mrs Alice Law passed away on April 14 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 90 years.
Wife of the late Ian, Alice was born in Glasgow but grew up in Devon.
She met her husband at a dance in Torquay and after a long-distance romance made the move up to Lancashire to get married.
Alice was blessed with many talents, skilled at dressmaking, knitting, cooking, gardening, painting and decorating. She would have a go at anything, really.
Alice started her working life at Mullards in Waterfoot, a job she loved, where she made many friends.
Later in life she was a machinist in the textile and footwear industries.
After retirement she spent precious time with her family and enjoyed holidays abroad and in the UK, in Devon or Scotland.
Alice leaves her daughter Maxine, son-in-law Philip, grandchildren Jessica and Michael and their respective partners Oliver and Sophie with four precious great-grandchildren, Darcy, George, Beth and Alice.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 30, with prayers offered in Fred Hamers, Rawtenstall at 1.45pm, followed by a cremation service at Burnley Crematorium at 2.30pm, conducted by Rev. David Burrow.
Family flowers only, with any donations to the Christian Youth Charity, Vision.
