Rotating Supercell Looms Over Oklahoma Amid Tornado Warning

A Oklahoma-based weather photographer captured stunning timelapse footage of a rotating supercell close to Etowah, Oklahoma, on April 19, as the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the area.

Storm chaser and photographer Alexander Spahn captured a 20-minute-long timelapse of what what he called “one of the most impressive thunderstorms I’ve ever seen.”

Speaking to Storyful, Spahn said the supercell produced “prolific lightning” and spawned “numerous tornadoes.”
