Former 'Emmerdale' star Roxanne Pallett marries firefighter fiancé in intimate New York wedding

Soap star Roxanne Pallett has married firefighter fiancé Jason Carrion after six months of dating.

According to The Sun, the former Emmerdale actor and ex-Married at First Sight star tied the knot in front of 10 guests, in an intimate ceremony held at New York City’s Lutheran Evangelical Church on 26 January.

The pair confirmed they were a couple back in August 2019, when Pallett uploaded a photo of them sharing a kiss on the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s “Rocky steps” on her now-private Instagram. She had split from steelworker Lee Walton – whom she had become engaged to in December 2017 – seven months earlier.

Carrion popped the question in November 2019.

“I’m living proof that you can find a happily ever after beyond tough times,” she told the publication.

“To walk down the aisle in such a perfect fairy-tale setting towards my dream man, was the happiest moment of my life.”

It’s believed Pallett met Carrion while spending time in the US last summer. She’d reportedly moved across the pond temporarily to escape the extreme backlash she’d been facing since appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

During her time in the house, Pallett had gotten into a play-fight with fellow contestant Ryan Thomas, but things escalated when she broke down in the diary room claiming he had punched her deliberately.

When it emerged he hadn’t touched her, the 37-year-old issued an apology and retreated from the public eye.

Ofcom received 25,327 complaints about the accusation, sending it to the top of the list of the past decade’s most controversial moments.

“Watching her walk down the aisle as I took her hand in marriage was one of the most significant moments in my life,” Carrion, who seems unfazed by the criticisms, said of the pair’s recent nuptials.

“I have finally found my person, the one who I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
