RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Vinegar Strokes is bringing together a number of drag queens and kings to show support for Black Lives Matter.

Protests and support for the movement have taken place across the US and the world in the past week following the death of George Floyd.

Floyd died while in police custody after a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck. All of the police officers present have since been sacked and charged, with Chauvin charged with second-degree murder.

A new Black Lives Matter Klub Kids livestream event hosted by Vinegar is set to take place next Monday (June 8) at 8pm GMT to educate, raise awareness, entertain and raise funds for a number of charities.

Among those taking part are Drag Race US star Mayhem Miller, Tayce, Yshee Black, Freida Slaves, Miss Micah, Asttina Mandella and Cyro, while there will also be a special message from Latrice Royale.

The three charities money will go to are Black Trans Femme in the Arts, UK Black Pride and Black Lives Matter, with more to be added – and fans can reserve a ticket for the show here.

The star gave an impassioned speech yesterday (June 3), declaring: "Every Black person in here remembered when another person reminded you that you were Black. So none of you out there, all those protesters on the other side, protesting against what we want to do, protesting against what we want to try and achieve, burn you, this is so vital.

"I need you to understand how painful this shit is. I need you to understand how painful it is to be reminded every day that your race means nothing and that isn't the case anymore, that was never the case anymore."
