RuPaul's Drag Race has become an institution, with versions of the competition reality series taking place in multiple countries around the globe which means one thing: another international All Stars is on its way.

That's right, RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World is back for another season and it will see drag queens from different editions of the franchise step back into the werkroom to show how much they've grown since first appearing on the show. Several queens are ready to take another shot at glory to earn the title of title of Queen of the Mothertucking World.

The BBC has revealed new details about what fans can expect, here is everything you need to know.

Week 1: Mayhem Miller

After having a difficult time keeping her composure during the first episode's variety show, Mayhem Miller landed in the bottom two with Gothy Kendoll. It was up to Marina Summers and La Grande Dame to decide which of them was sent home.

Mayhem Miller suggested that she form an alliance with both of the top queens in a bid to stay in the competition, but Gothy retorted that as she was eliminated first from the first season of Drag Race UK she had more to show than her rival — who has appeared on the show three times before.

Marina Summers won the lipsync battle and ultimately chose Mayhem Miller to go home first.

Who are the queens on RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World season 2?

There are 11 queens returning to the competition for RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World season 2, and they originally hail from the the UK, Australia, Holland, Spain, France, the Phillipines, and the US. There are four queens returning from RuPaul's Drag Race UK, and two from the flagship series RuPaul's Drag Race.

Representing the UK are Gothy Kendoll, Tia Kofi, Choriza May, and Jonbers Blonde. Gothy Kendoll is famously known as the first queen eliminated from the UK edition of Drag Race, while Tia Kofi was a fan favourite from season 2 of the series where she placed seventh. Choriza May appeared on season three of Drag Race UK where she placed joint sixth, while Jonbers Blonde was the finalist for season four which was ultimately won by Danny Beard.

From the US is Scarlet Envy, who has a long history with the show like Mayhem Miller. Scarlet Envy first appeared in season 11 of the flagship series, and she returned for season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars in 2021.

Elsewhere, Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha is representing Spain on the series after appearing in the first season of Drag Race España, Hannah Conda hails from Australia and was the finalist for season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under. Keta Minaj is representing Holland after starring in season 2 of Drag Race Holland, where she reached the semi-finals, and Drag Race France's season one finalist La Grande Dame is also ready to return to the competition.

Drag Race Philippines star Marina Summers is also set to appear on the programme, she was a finalist on her season. The queen follows in the footsteps of Drag Race Philippines judge Jiggly Caliente, who has a long history with the series having appeared in season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race and later season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World season 2 will premiere on BBC Three on Friday, 9 February at 9pm. The series will air new episodes on a weekly basis on the channel, and BBC iPlayer.

How does RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World work?

Like RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, the competition is fiercer than ever because of the way in which it operates. Usually it sees the top two winners of the week choosing who they think should go home — with the person leaving being decided by the queen who wins that week's lip-sync battle.

The rules have caused some friction in the past, with some fans of the show taking offence to the winning queen if they send home their favourite queen. Ultimately the winner is decided by RuPaul, who presides over the competition alongside regular judges Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, and Alan Carr, as well as a slew of guest judges.

Speaking of guest judges, there are several icons of the British entertainment industry who will appear on the show including Oscar-nominated actor Richard E Grant, comedian Katherine Ryan, and Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse.

Other celebrity guest judges include actor and model Adwoa Aboah, singer Kim Petras, musician Self Esteem, and Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley. But that's not all because Jane McDonald and Sinitta will join the show for The Snatch Game, and former Strictly professionals Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec will lend their hand as dance coaches for the queens.

The BBC has unveiled a Meet the Queens trailer, which gives fans of the show the chance to learn more about the stars appearing in season 2. The twenty minute video sees every queen answering questions about their previous experiences on the show and what they hope to bring this time around.
