Ruth Langsford reveals Eamonn Holmes' clever tactic for sex that worked every time

Ruth Langsford caused a stir on the Loose Women panel when she confessed to the unique approach her husband, Eamonn Holmes, would take when initiating intimacy between them.

The 64 year old presenter's revelation came prior to today's shocking news that she and her TV star husband, Eamonn, have decided to end their 14-year-long marriage.

The couple's representative confirmed that they are heading for divorce in an unexpected announcement, the Mirror reports.

Before this unfortunate turn of events, Ruth had candidly spoken about the couple's private life during an episode of ITV's Loose Women, leaving the audience gobsmacked.

While her co-panellists Franke Bridge, Carol McGiffin, and Kelle Bryan concurred that a sex ban was not feasible in their own relationships, Ruth claimed that there was one particular gesture that Eamonn could always count on to sweep her off her feet.

She disclosed: "You can have all the compliments and the flowers but then, if Eamonn comes home and has used my car and he goes, "Filled the petrol up and did your water bottle," I'm like, 'Get upstairs right now'".

Her frank remarks sent the studio audience into peals of laughter as Ruth elaborated: "I hate doing it.

"Literally, I'll go round with my petrol light on red, the water bottle empty, smeared [windscreen], I'm like, 'Oh I can't stop and do that,' so he'll do it for me and he knows, he knows."

Sporting a mischievous smile, she put the cherry on top by stating: "Everyone's got their little trick."

Sadly, the privy curtain has fallen on Ruth and Eammon's romance, after a drawn-out period of relationship speculation.

The duo hasn't been spotted together for months, sparking whispers about an undercover break up following their routine arguments.

An insider said: "It's a very sorry tale. They are both so loved by the British public, they won over so many people on This Morning which they hosted for more than a decade."

They further commented: "They were as close to Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan as you could get," as reported by MailOnline.

A friend of the couple told The Sun that their careers had "took them in different directions" causing them to grow apart in recent times.

The once inseparable pair haven't showcased each other in their Instagram snaps since July 2022.

Though they frequently mentioned each other on their respective telly gigs, Good Morning Britain and Loose Women, their social media narrative spoke volumes.

Ruth last posted a touching tribute to their love two years ago on their anniversary. She wrote alongside a picture of them: "Happy Anniversary my love @eamonnholme Loved you then Love you still Always have Always will."
