Ruth Langsford's Loose Women absence sparks fan outcry after marriage split

Loose Women's devoted followers are longing for the return of their favourite host, Ruth Langsford.

The renowned TV personality has been absent from the mandate chat show since she announced her marriage dissolution and impending divorce with ex GB News husband, Eamonn Holmes. After sharing the surprising news, the long-established host took a short hiatus and has yet to reappear, causing fans on X - formerly Twitter - to grow increasingly eager for her return.

One user queried: "#loosewomen When is Ruth back on again? " Yet another echoed this sentiment, proclaiming: "I miss Ruth, it's not the same #loosewomen." However, others expressed diverging views regarding Wednesday's (July 10) panel, anticipating that it wouldn't be an enjoyable episode, reports the Mirror.

Today's panel featured guest star Mariella Frostrup, alongside regular panellists Kelle Bryan, Christine Lampard and Coleen Nolan. However, the line-up didn't thrill viewers.

One disappointed viewer grumbled: "#Loosewomen, ffs Kelle's on the panel" and another complained: "Not gasping grinning Lampard again #Loosewomen," coupled with a rolling eyes emoji.

In the latest developments, Eamonn and Ruth's divorce is reportedly turning bitter. The couple, who lived together blissfully for 27 years and were married for 14, have confirmed they're preparing for a divorce.

An acquaintance of Eamonn allegedly shared with the Mail: "It could get nasty. To think that they would go from appearing so happy on TV, to potentially going to war over money is not what their viewers expected."

Back in May, it was publicised that the television duo were parting ways, but Ruth has thus far remained silent on their split. It's understood, however, that she is now preparing to discuss it live on-air, backed by her co-hosts.

A TV insider informed MailOnline: "The presenters on Loose Women have a history of opening up about their marriage splits on air and it's a very supportive environment. Ruth knows the viewers are heavily invested in her breakup so she will be addressing her and Eamonn for the first time on the show."

The insider maintained: "She will be surrounded by the people she's closest to on the show and then will be drawing a line under it... she has no plans to do a big interview, this will be the one and only time she speaks."
