Ryan Reynolds clears up how to say Rob McElhenney's name in funny birthday song
The actor shared a video of his song on Twitter
Ryan Reynolds killed two birds with one stone as he wished his Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney a happy birthday while also setting the record straight on how to say his name.
The Deadpool actor enlisted fans of the football club as well as some of McElhenney’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia co-stars to help mark his friend's 46th birthday in a song.
A video shared on Twitter shows Reynolds standing at a mic, singing about how people recognise McElhenney but can’t say his name right.

"Sure he’s got a pretty face that people know they know, they think they recognise him from his big time TV show," he sang.
"But despite the accolades, despite the load of fame, one thing that they do not know is how to say his name."

Wrexham supporters and others are then seen pronouncing the surname, followed by a string of people getting it wrong.
"While ways to massacre and mispronounce it there are many, it’s McElhenney,” sings Reynolds.
"If there was doubt now there won’t be any, it’s McElhenney."
Other lines of the song see people making it clear which parts of the name to emphasise.
"So get the name correct and show the man some damn respect," it goes.
Tweeting the video, Reynolds joked: “A birthday card might’ve been easier. Happy birthday, @rmcelhenney.”
“Would be a real shame if this became a @wrexham_afc Racecourse chant,” he added.
McElhenney seemed to be lost for words about the special tribute, replying: “This is…. I mean… I don’t…. Wow.”
Fans loved it, calling it “brilliant” and “genius”.
“Best birthday gift,” tweeted one, while another posted: “This is stuck in my head now!!! Too good.”
One fan quipped: “This is actually quite helpful.”
