Wrexham CEO Fleur Robinson has announced her departure from the club following their historic back-to-back promotions. Robinson has been instrumental in the club's success both on and off the pitch during her three-year tenure, overseeing their return to the Football League and subsequent elevation to League One.

Robinson's exit coincides with a period of significant change at Wrexham , with Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney having purchased the club in 2021. The duo have overseen a remarkable transformation of the club, both on and off the field, and Robinson's departure marks the end of an era at the Racecourse Ground, reports WalesOnline.

Reynolds and McElhenney expressed their gratitude to Robinson for her contributions to the club, stating: "We are extremely grateful for all that Fleur has done in transforming the club over the past couple of years and we wish her every success with her future plans."

Robinson herself expressed her pride in the progress made during her time at the helm, stating: "It has been a privilege to lead Wrexham as CEO for past three years. I am proud that I leave the club in a much better position on and off the pitch than when I arrived."

The club's supporters have taken to social media to express their appreciation for Robinson's leadership, with many acknowledging her significant role in the club's recent success, reports the Daily Star .

Wrexham now enters a new chapter under the continued ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, with the club poised for further growth and development in the years to come.

Growing up in a football environment, her father Ben Robinson is the chairman of Burton Albion. During her tenure at the club, she negotiated Wrexham's debut in FIFA 22, marking the first time a non-league club has been featured in the game.

She also played a key role in managing the behind-the-scenes cameras for the popular documentary 'Welcome To Wrexham'.

Robinson made history as the first black female CEO of a professional football club and was acknowledged on football's esteemed Black List for her influential role within the national sport. Her exit follows a series of departures from the Welsh club.

Double-promotion heroes including club captain Ben Tozer, longest-serving player Luke Young, Aaron Hayden, Rob Lainton, Callum McFadzean and Jordan Tunnicliffe have all left following the conclusion of their contracts.

However, they've secured some of their key players for another season as they gear up for life in League One and plan to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window. The club has also mooted building a 55,000-seater stadium.
