As we approach the summer holiday season, thousands of people are preparing to jet off for a well-earned break.

For many air travellers, tucking into food and guzzling beverages at 30,000 feet signifies that the awaited holiday has officially kicked off. Over the past few years, airline companies have drastically enhanced their on-board offerings and today sees Ryanair debuting its new in-flight cocktail menu.

Holidaymakers can select from seven pre-mixed cocktails. The choices include the Dublin Lemonade (a mix of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Sprite Zero and sparkling water), the Fruit Snack (Bombay Sapphire Gin, Sprite Zero and Capri-sun), the Rose Spritz (rose wine and Sprite Zero) or the Flying Iced Tea (a blend of Bombay Sapphire Gin, Absolut Vodka and Coca-Cola), reports the Irish Mirror.

The price of these beverages starts from €9.50, which is around £8. Jade Kirwan, head of communication at Ryanair, said: "Summer is finally here, and what better way to kickstart your summer holiday than with a delicious cocktail from Ryanair's new in-flight cocktail menu?

"Adding to our already extensive range of in-flight food and beverage options, our new cocktail range offers a selection of seven ready-to-drink cocktails from Flying Iced Tea to French 75 to Rose Spritz and more."
