Ryanair bans 'rowdy' UK tourists after 'sexual activity' on Tenerife flight

A rowdy bunch of 'drunk' Brit tourists have been escorted off a Ryanair flight to Tenerife after swigging duty free booze then abusing fellow passengers. The Ryanair holidaymakers flying to the Canary Islands were also said to be "engaging in sexual activity in front of children".

The three males and two females, from Liverpool, were not travelling together. The five Brits from Liverpool were seated in front and behind each other on the Thursday evening flight FR4346 to Tenerife, amid rising tension with locals amid protests over "over tourism".

According to reports, as soon as the plane took off, the group cracked open a bottle of duty free booze and began drinking from the bottle. Canarian Weekly reports staff at the low-cost carrier, which is rivalled by Jet2, TUI, Easyjet, Wizz Air, British Airways and more, stepped in.

Cabin crew attempting to intervene as they asked the lads to quieten down - but the requests were allegedly ignored. The group then began to involve two women who were seated on the row behind them as they dished out the booze.

Fellow passengers asked the party to mind their language as they had young children and also asked them to return to their seats as their swaying and bumping was causing disturbance.

As the situation escalated, the pilot was forced to address the situation over the planes tannoy. He warned he would make a landing in Lisbon, Portugal, where they would be evicted from the plane and have to make their own way to Tenerife or back home.

Other reports suggest the group were engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour. After flying into Tenerife South, the Ryanair pilot requested police assistance on the tarmac and Spanish cops stormed the plane while holidaymakers remained seating.

National Police officials arrested all five of the abusive travellers and took their passports. The pilot also banned them from flying back to the UK with the airline.
