Rylan Clark 'really proud' as he lands important new role with ITV Loose Women star

Rylan Clark has been flooded with support as he shared a new career role - as an ambassador for Samaritans. The BBC Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two alum is "really proud" to be a cheerleader at the London Marathon this year, he revealed.

Rylan wrote: "I’m really proud to be supporting #TeamSamaritans, and be a cheerleader for this year’s @londonmarathon runners who are raising money for this incredible charity alongside the beautiful @damekellyholmes. The fact that @samaritanscharity is able to respond to calls for help and be there for absolutely anyone who is struggling, to listen to them without judgement and offer their support at any time of day, every day of the year is amazing.

"Good luck to all the runners - I’ll be cheering from the sidelines." Samaritans said: "We're SO grateful for your support, Rylan! Welcome to #TeamSamaritans" In reply, a fan said: "I’m a listening volunteer Rylan, thank you for supporting and promoting this…. We have just completed a walk 70 miles in March and I took part and walked 126 miles and raised £288."

"That colour looks so good on you, never seen you in anything like that before!" another typed. Phoebe said: "Im running for Samaritans - hope to see you there my old work buddy!!! Xxx" Dame Kelly Holmes said: "It was so good to be there with you @rylan and I am sure the @samaritanscharity team will do Fab."

"Thank you, Rylan, for your amazing support of Samaritans charity! It was such a pleasure to meet you, and can’t wait for the race day!," another said. It came after Rylan was seen on TV screens over the weekend as he joined Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on the final episode of their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway.

Rylan was live in the studio alongside Davina McCall, Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Simon Cowell.
