Rylan Clark says 'this is what I look like' as he ditches black locks and makeup as fans react

Rylan Clark has shown fans what he really looks like as he prepared for a 'reset'. The TV and radio star is known for his jet-black locks, beaming white teeth and flawless skin but on Sunday (June 30), he ended the month by showing something much different.

Rylan, 35, took to Instagram with a selfie in which he could be seen fresh-faced and sporting auburn-coloured tresses. His eyebrows and beard remained on the darker side as he stared into the camera with his piercing blue eyes.

Captioning the post, the BBC Radio 2 presenter explained: "Stripped colour from my hair to give it a reset. For anyone wondering this is what I look like with no colour in and no make uppppp."

And it didn't take long for the comments to come flooding in. Radio 2 pal Sally Boazman, aka Sally Traffic, said: "I knew the real Rylan was under there somewhere!!! You look stunning." Loose Women's Katie Piper commented: "Youthful," while Dame Kelly Holmes shared: "Lovely eyes."

Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold simply posted: "Dish," as Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton wrote: "Big Ginger Love." Jedward typed: "It’s giving Troy Bolton from high school musical ya wild cat." Reality star and presenter Vicky Pattison added: "Still gorgeous."

Rylan's fans and followers were also quick to react. @tinaboo76 said: "You look gorgeous! Keep it like that!" @lucywyness commented: "Keep it natural, we gingers need role models." @hollyoakemily wrote: "Rylan you look so amazing and I love your national hair colour. Absolutely gorgeous."

@christopher_uk replied: "You look amazing. Colour is gorgeous. You look stunning @rylan." @crazy5afta posted: "Very fresh and absolutely gorgeous." @dormansparkgirl shared: "Absolutely gorgeous. Love it!" @twentieth_century_island_girl added: "You're even better looking au natural."

Some people may or may not know that to Rylan's beloved mum Linda, her son is actually Ross. The presenter has undergone various name changes over the years. Before finding fame, the modelling agency who signed him up told him his real name 'Ross' was boring and dubbed him Kielan instead.

But on day, while visiting a branch of WH Smith, the then-budding star flicked through a baby name book to the 'R' section when he happened on the name Rylan - the name that he'd carry through the rest of his career. Not only has his name changed, Rylan has also completely changed his image after being the victim of bullies for being 'fat, ginger and gay.'
