Some things are life in inevitable. Death and taxes, sure. Simon Cowell wearing flared trousers whenever he steps outdoors. And, of course, there's The Chase going on its yearly hiatus.

And, just as inevitably, there will always be some people who hear of Bradley Walsh and the gang going on their break from filming and jump to conclusions quicker than you can say that the programme's fixed.

So as it goes, headlines – including our own, no less – are shouting about The Chase being "replaced" by Rylan Clark-Neal's new show, Babushka.

While that is of course true, we can all just step back and breath deeply to remember it's a short-term thing – and before long everyone's favourite quiz show (sorry, Pointless) will be back on our television screens, with Bradley's spontaneous giggle fits never too far away.

As a reaction to the whole storm in a shot glass, Rylan Clark-Neal himself had a humorous reaction to share about the whole matter – as encapsulated in the below tweet.

Gorge on this....

Meanwhile, hearing grumbles from viewers about the scheduling switch-up, Chaser Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan jumped in to reassure people that all was well in the world.

So, there you have it. The Chase is having a break and Rylan's got a new show to fill the gap. The world's not over and Simon Cowell loves flares.
