Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour is the brand new travel series from the BBC. The programme follows Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark, as they themselves follow in the footsteps of 19th-century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists, immersing themselves in the art, culture, bad behaviour, and life-changing exploits of historic Brits abroad.

As the presenters and friends discover the greatest art treasures in Italy, they also learn more about themselves. Together, they retrace the steps of countless English aristocrats who took the Grand Tour, the original gap year, leaving behind the confines of British society for freedom and discovery abroad.

The first episode launched on Sunday, May 12, on BBC Two and saw Rylan and Rob arrive in Venice. Posting on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, before the programme kicked off, Rylan shared a snap of himself and Rob and wrote: "Tonight our new show starts at 9pm on BBC Two and IPlayer. It was so special. This man has become family to me because of this experience. It really is a show like no other and we’re so proud of it. Hope you enjoy."

Replying, one fan wrote: "What an absolute joy it’s just been to watch your new show with Rob Rinder… I’ve always thought you were a joy inside and out but seeing a new side to you.. a deeper side has been a true pleasure! Can’t wait to watch the rest!! Love ya Rylan."

While another added: "Best thing I’ve watched in ages! You pair are the friendship we didn’t know we needed! Laughed and cried all through that. Can’t wait to see more!"

And a third commented: "Watched it tonight & really enjoyed it - plus I learned a thing or two about art & travel but also not least about you two -you are a really strong & kind person & Robert is courageous but deeply emotional -its a joy to see your friendship."

The next episode will air on Sunday, 19 May and will see Rylan and Rob visit Florence. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
