Sabrina Carpenter reacts to Adele praising her hit single Espresso

Sabrina Carpenter has responded to Adele giving a shout-out to her hit single Espresso.

The British singer sang a few lyrics from the single and described it as her "jam" during her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday.

"As I got into bed last night - 'cause that's a very late night for me, normally I'm in bed by 9 p.m. - I found myself singing, 'I'm working late, 'cause I'm a singer,'" she shared, singing the words to the smash hit song. "That Sabrina Carpenter song! 'I can't relate to desperation.' That song is my jam!"

Adele also lamented the fact she couldn't sing along to Espresso when it was released because she was on vocal rest at the time.

"It came out when I couldn't talk or sing, so since my voice has come back, all last night and this morning that's what I've been singing," she continued, before jokingly reworking some of the lyrics.

"From tomorrow, it will be like, 'I'm sleeping late 'cause I'm a singer,' because that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow."

Sabrina reshared a post about Adele's comments on X/Twitter and wrote, "All i read was Adele thinks about me in bed <3."

The 25-year-old singer also shared fan footage of Adele's remarks on her Instagram Stories and added, "Um guys can someone check on me."

Sabrina performed the song on Saturday Night Live the same evening. In her debut as an SNL musical guest, she also sang a medley of her tracks Nonsense and Feather.
