Sainsbury’s slashes price of Freddo to 10p - but there’s a catch
Sainsbury’s has slashed the price of the iconic Freddo bar to its original 10p price - but there’s a catch. The price cut comes as the supermarket celebrates 200 years of Cadbury.
According to Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert, the last time you could get your hands on the chocolatey frog for just 10p was 2005.
Now costing upwards of 35p in some supermarkets, Sainsbury’s shoppers can now buy them at their original price for a limited time.

Sharing a picture of an empty Freddo box, one Sainsbury shopper said: “Hope you have more luck than I did today.”
Some shoppers have alleged that their has been a 30 Freddo purchase limit in their local store.
One chocolate lover said: “Just been and got some …. Maybe 30 - that’s the limit.”
One person said they needed to “stock up” while another suggested “investing” in them.
Rachel Clark, director of grocery for Sainsbury’s said: "We’re delighted to be celebrating such an iconic moment for Cadbury and its milestone of 200 years as a loved chocolate brand."
