Sainsbury's drops Cadbury favourite back to 1990s price

Sainsbury's is rolling back the years and the prices, offering Cadbury Freddos at the nostalgic cost of just 10p - a throwback to their 1990s price tag. The beloved 18g Dairy Milk chocolate bars are typically sold for 25p today, much to the chagrin of chocolate enthusiasts.

However, in a move that's sure to delight Freddo aficionados, Sainsbury's has decided to reduce the price significantly. Starting from April 17, customers can relive their childhood as they purchase a Freddo for a mere dime, marking 200 years since Cadbury first started satisfying sweet teeth.

It's been 17 long years since the treat was last available at such a low price. But don't get too comfortable with the bargain - this special offer will only last until April 23.

There's a catch though; you need to be a member of Sainsbury's Nectar card loyalty programme to enjoy the discounted price. To take advantage of the Nectar Prices, simply present the app or swipe your card when checking out.

Rachel Clark, Sainsbury's director of grocery, expressed excitement over the promotion: "We're delighted to be celebrating such an iconic moment for Cadbury and its milestone of 200 years as a loved chocolate brand."

Do keep in mind that prices are subject to change, especially during this season, so it's always wise to compare prices to ensure you're snagging the best deal.
