A new business to Salisbury is making it their mission to support local charities and individuals

Primrose Marquees and Events are giving back to charities through their ‘Canvas of Kindness’ initiative.

Each year, the team at Primrose Marquees will select one deserving cause, that will be awarded with a fully set-up and equipped marquee. This will enable the successful applicant to run a fund-raising event for their special project in 2025.

The offer includes everything needed to host an event, from shelter and space to allowing guests to gather in a comfortable and elegant atmosphere.

Primrose Marquees has been established by family members, Cameron, Nicole and Larry Walker.

Founder and Co-Owner, Nicole Walker said: “We are very lucky to start our own marquee business aimed at clients looking to hold a wedding or event in one of our beautiful marquees.  But because we have received a lot of invaluable help and support along the way, we believe in the power of giving back and making a difference, particularly as it is now very challenging for charities to raise funds.”

She added: “This is why we are passionate about setting up and supporting a charitable event to help create positive change within our local community and this is the reason that ‘Canvas of Kindness’ was born.”

To date, the business has received some heart-felt fund-raising ideas, but more applicants are invited to apply to be considered in this fund-raising opportunity.

The team at Primrose Marquees will make a final decision on the merits of each application, taking into consideration the significance of the event and its potential impact on the community.

The final decision on the winning applicant will be announced towards the end of the year.

Primrose Marquees will also be donating a large petal pole marquee and surrounding bell tents to a charity event being held at Wilton House on Saturday, August 3.

The Salisbury Summer Fair is a fund-raising event for the Salisbury Hospice and a Primrose Marquee will play centre stage in the retreat area, which will host yoga, hypnotherapy and message sessions.
