Sarah Beeny has said battling cancer has been a "weird ride" but that she feels blessed after getting the all-clear.

The Property Ladder star, 51, revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, she said it had been "a bit of a rollercoaster".

"But I feel very fortunate that I had the diagnosis that I did and that I live in 2023 and that I am the age I am," she said.

"So many things I am fortunate for. So I feel very blessed."

Host Christine Lampard asked Beeny how it felt to have been given the all-clear.

"It’s good," she replied. "But it's weird because they kind of go, ‘Right that’s it then, that’s the end of that’ and you kind of go, ‘Well how do you know?’ and they go, 'Well we don’t, we just think so’.

"It’s a weird end."

The TV star, who was on the show with two of her sons, said she would need to continue taking medication and that she’d have to be vigilant.

“It’s been a kind of weird ride that I wouldn’t wish on anyone else but I’m glad I did it rather than somebody else," she added.

Beeny also said she had been blown away by all the support.

“I can’t tell you how lovely everyone has been,” she said.

“It has been overwhelming.”

Beeny’s mother also had breast cancer and died of the illness at just 39, when the star was just 10.

Speaking last year, the presenter said that she had “always assumed” she would get the disease too.
