Satellite Imagery Captures 'Dangerous Winter Storm' Swirling Over California

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that a “low-pressure system is spinning off the Pacific coast” causing “blizzard conditions” in parts of California.

Imagery of the storm captured by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s GOES-West satellite on Friday, February 24, shows the system swirling over California.

A “dangerous winter storm” threatened southwestern California with “heavy rain and snow, strong winds, whiteout visibilities, road closures,” the NWS warned. Credit: NOAA GOES-West via Storyful
