Satellite Imagery Shows Buildup of Vehicles at Kerem Shalom Crossing

Satellite imagery shows aid vehicles building up at the Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom crossing on May 26 and May 29, as the Rafah border remained closed.

According to Maxar Technologies, who sent these images directly to Storyful, this imagery shows an increase in aid deliveries and supplies being brought to the border crossing.

The Rafah crossing has been shut since Israel took control of the Palestinian side of the crossing on May 7.

On May 24 Egypt and the United States agreed to send aid via Israel’s nearby Kerem Shalom crossing until the crossing in Rafah was reopened, according to a statement released by the White House. Credit: Maxar via Storyful
