Satellite imagery released by Maxar on Monday, May 15, shows utter devastation in Sittwe, Myanmar, after a deadly cyclone made landfall the previous day.
Images collected by Maxar in Sittwe on Monday after the storm, compared to those taken on February 17, show significant storm damage to buildings and infrastructure across caused by Cyclone Mocha.
The cyclone made landfall in Sittwe, the capital of Myanmar’s Rakhine state, at around 1:30 pm local time on Sunday, Myanmar Now reported.
Radio Free Asia said at least six people were killed across Myanmar.
