Satellite Imagery Shows Nor’easter Forming Off North Carolina Coast

Satellite imagery from March 13 shows a low-pressure system developing into a nor’easter off the North Carolina coast, according to the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA).

The nor’easter, which was expected to reach Cape Cod on Tuesday, was forecast to bring heavy rain and snow to the northeast, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
