Ahead of its special two hour finale this weekend, the show that will replace Saturday Night Takeaway has now been made official, as its start date has been confirmed as Saturday, April 20.

After 20 series of fun and frolics, Ant and Dec will bring their much loved programme to an end, at least for now, on Saturday, with a who's who of big names lined up to help them make sure Takeaway goes out in style. Girls Aloud have been signed up as the last Star Guest Announcers of the series, as music will be provided by S Club, Kaiser Chiefs and Tony Hadley.

There will also be returns for former Saturday Night Takeaway co-hosts Ashley Roberts, Kirsty Gallacher and Scarlett Moffatt, with Stephen Mulhern set to preside over the Ant vs Dec decider, having pulled out of last weekend's episode with hours to go. During a chat on This Morning on Friday, Ant and Dec revealed they'd 'wavered' over the future of Saturday Night Takeaway, even after making the announcement last year that they were planning to 'rest' it.

Ant and Dec fans needn't worry though, as the duo won't be off screen for long, with the making a return just a week after the Takeaway finale, as the new series of Britain's Got Talent kicks off. The Geordie duo have presented the show since its launch in 2007 and will join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon once again, as more hopefuls audition for a chance to win a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

After teaser adverts for Britain's Got Talent's return had been on rotation on ITV for a number of weeks, declaring that it was 'coming soon' the ads have now been updated to include the April 20 start. BGT will air from 7.30pm-8.55pm next weekend, preceded by the return of Joel Dommett game show In With A Shot and followed by the latest episode of The 1% Club.
