Fans of Scarlett Moffatt were left making the same observation after her return to TV on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. The former Gogglebox star became a regular on the ITV show in 2017 after winning series 16 of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here the year before.

Scarlett was then invited to return to the show on Saturday night (April 13) as Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly hosted the final episode of the show - for now - after 20 series in epic style. More than four million viewers tuned into watch the finale after revealing they were pausing their entertainment series to "catch our breath".

The finale saw Holly Willoughby, Rylan Clark, Olly Murs, Davina McCall, Gino D’Acampo and Cheryl get their revenge on the Geordie duo during a pre-recorded restaurant prank which mirrored Ant and Dec’s popular Get Out Of My Ear segment. Meanwhile, Craig David entertained crowds outside the studio with a DJ set and Girls Aloud acted as the last Star Guest Announcers.

Saying farewell to the show, which began in 2002 and was previously paused between 2009 and 2013, Ant called it an "honour and a privilege" to host for so long. Dec told the audience that the experience was “beyond our wildest dreams” and they have "truly adored every second of making the show".

The finale also saw McPartlin and Donnelly joined by S Club, Tony Hadley and Kaiser Chiefs to perform the Leeds band’s hit track I Predict A Riot, while McFly sang a version of their song All About You to the presenters. Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell and This Morning presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond also appeared to farewell the duo, alongside TV presenter Andi Peters and radio host Jordan North.

And Scarlett, alongside Jordan and This Morning's Josie Gibson, were able to surprise some more unsuspecting people with a 'Takeaway Getaway' before joining in with the End Of The Series, End Of The Show Show. But fans couldn't help but notice amongst the extravagant performance that Scarlett lost her shoe.

The mum-of-one, 33, could be seen dancing alongside a number of other stars to the 1980 hit Celebration by Kool & The Gang which Ant and Dec sang right until the end. She wore an orange dress which finished below her knee along with a pair of bright white trainers.

As she skipped into the studio, she was helped up onto the stage in front of the audience by new Capital Breakfast host Jordan, 34, only to lose one of her trainers as it got caught and slid off her foot. But a true professional, she carried on regardless.

Taking to Instagram following the last show by her fellow Geordies, Scarlett said in a gushing post: "Saturday Night Take Away is one of the shows that I’m most proud to be a part of. I was so honoured to be asked to be part of the finale and will be forever grateful to Ant and Dec and all of the crew and wonderful people I worked with on the show. I learnt so much & cherish & keep so many amazing life pinching moments because of the show."

She rounded off her post by saying: "We will forever miss you takeaway I hope you’re back soon." But some couldn't help but mention her missing trainer in the comments section.
