Saved by the Bell star Tiffani Thiessen felt 'good' about turning 50

Tiffani Thiessen felt "good" about herself when she turned 50.

The actress, best known for playing Kelly Kapowski in the popular American sitcom Saved by the Bell, has opened up about entering her fifth decade in January.

"I was way more nervous about turning 40," Tiffani told People in a new interview. "I think because, in my 40s, my focus was still on my children. Also, there were still a lot of bodily changes from pregnancy, hormones, that kind of stuff. I wasn't able to really give myself any time to put into me."

Tiffani explained that now that her children, 13-year-old Harper and eight-year-old Holt, are older, she has more time to focus on taking care of herself.

"I was kind of prepping myself to turn 50, and really wanting to look and feel the best I could, whatever that means. So I feel good," she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, the actress shared that her hair is one of her priorities.

"A lot of people always focused on my hair," she stated. "So it's important to me that it looks good. Also, your hair health shows a lot about your health in general. But you can't help the hormonal changes that happen with pregnancy and age."

Tiffani admitted that she is not ready to embrace grey hair, although she may be open to it in the future.

"I totally cover the greys," she acknowledged. "I have not embraced it. But my mum just went completely grey and did the whole transition, and she looks so good. So I'm like, OK, maybe I'll get there."
