Scarlett Moffatt says she's finally happy with her body and won't let "horrific" comments from trolls about her "boob gap" bother her any more.

"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Let’s normalise boob gaps," the former Gogglebox star wrote in a caption on her Instagram page.

The 30-year-old added to her two million followers that society should "normalise the fact that everybody's body is a beach body".

She said: "Some of comments I’ve received are horrific, but I don’t care because after years of struggling with self image I’m finally at a place where I want to shout from the roof tops… you are perfect just as you are."

Moffatt recently posted a picture of herself wearing a bikini while on holiday in Antigua, revealing it was the first time she had worn one in five years.

She wrote: "I hope this gives you the confidence to buy that dress, that bikini, not miss out just because your body doesn’t fit into a certain category.

"Because let me tell you all these things are made up — nobody is too slim, too curvy, too athletic, too many stretch marks, too much cellulite."

Moffatt has spoken openly about her struggles with trolling since she first rose to fame along with her family due to her appearances on Gogglebox between 2014 and 2016.

She admitted earlier this year that she was driven so far by online abuse after her I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here victory in 2016 that she contacted Samaritans.

She said: "I felt really sad, I spoke to Samaritans, I got help from my GP and now I am in such a good place with my little dog and my boyfriend and my friends and family.

“I just love life. I feel like I am the old Scarlett again, the 18-year-old Scarlett that was carefree. I feel like I am that girl again.”

Moffatt subsequently became an ambassador for Samaritans, which she described as her "biggest achievement to date".

The star's latest gig is as the host of dating show Love Bites, in which suitors each cook for a fellow singleton in order to secure a date.
