School Buses Take Tourists to Maui Airport After Devastating Fires

A convoy of buses shuttled more than 1,200 visitors from west Maui to Kahului Airport on Thursday, August 10, officials said, as crews worked to put out flare-ups and contain the flames from the Maui wildfires.

Officials said that 14,900 visitors flew out of Maui on Thursday. News reports and footage posted by visitors show busy scenes at the airport amid evacuations in the area.
