How Scott Brown turned Celtic trialist into a RANGERS fan after short-lived Parkhead stint

A former Celtic trialist has told how Scott Brown turned him into a RANGERS fan.

Danish attacker David Boysen arrived at Parkhead in January 2010 as an 18-year-old as he attempted to win a deal under Tony Mowbray. Despite scoring in a bounce game for the Hoops, the Aalborg starlet wasn't offered a contract, with his agent later admitting Boysen wasn't in the best condition due to the winter break in Denmark.

Boysten later went on to become a journeyman striker playing for the likes of Brondby and Elfsborg before hanging up the boots in December at the age of 32. And while the former Denmark Under-20 international's career could've panned out differently had he joined Celtic, Boysten pledged his allegiances to the other side of the Old Firm divide after being tormented by wind-up merchant Scott Brown.

He told SpilXperten: "I was on trial at Celtic, but after a couple of days, I realise it's never going to work out. On the second to last day, we had a trial match, where I scored in a match we won 1-0. But their captain over there, Scott Brown, who is the captain at that time, is involved in a lawsuit, so he's playing for the reserve team that day.

"Scott Brown then asks the coach to take me out, right after I've scored for 1-0. He's actually been humiliating me the previous days as well, so me and my buddy, who I brought with me over there, we sneak into their dressing room right after, and I'm furious. I'd had enough of him by now. So I go straight in and steal all his clothes, well, all his training clothes, mind you - not his personal ones.

"Then we go straight to McDonald's, and then we head to a strip club in the evening. We have to train the next day before I fly home, but they didn't see me anymore in Celtic. Now I didn't want anything more to do with them, so I've always supported Rangers ever since."
