Netflix has debuted the official full trailer for Scott Pilgrim anime series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, ahead of its release on November 17.

The live-action movie version of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novels was released in 2010 – and the adaptation has now come full circle, with O'Malley's signature art style coming to the small screen in the anime Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

The first official full trailer details the well-loved story of Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), a slacker musician who learns that in order to date the mysterious Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), he must first defeat her seven evil exes.

Animated in O'Malley's signature chaotic art style by legendary studio Science Saru, viewers are awarded glimpses of Scott's battles with the former lovers, his initial dream about Ramona, his grumpy flatmate Wallace, and previously unheard dialogue that confirms the entire all-star cast of the film will be returning to reprise their roles.
